These wings as pictured, were oven baked but if you prefer to deep fry them that's perfectly fine. All the flavors worked together so well and once again only empty platters remained.

This cake's simple batter, which you will be able to prepare in all of ten minutes, is made with a good serving of butter, two types of citrus zest and a generous scoop of lemon marmalade, which helps the final golden cake to retain a good deal of moistness and adds just the right amount of bitterness to each bite.

I’ve been on a toasted hazelnut kick lately, the kind that’s toasted until it attains a bronze sheen. The flavour of the hazelnut really intensifies and the texture of these biscuits is beautifully crumbly.

This bowl is full of fresh, unseasoned ingredients that are plenty flavorful on their own and require little seasoning but I think the vinaigrette really ties the whole bowl together. Plus, I love sriracha!

These giant, meaty mushrooms make a terrific appetizer or meatless main dish. The oven roasted tomatoes, goat cheese and herbs add to their earthy, savory flavor.

One of my favorite vegetables to make into soup is butternut squash. I love the nutty taste. This soup is great served warm or cold, and has a smooth, flavorful texture and taste.

Leave it to the French to make a giant cheese and bacon hash brown sophisticated, but that’s exactly what’s going on with this tres chic tart.

The crust is made of cauliflower, mozzarella cheese, egg and seasoning. It holds together really well and you can easily eat the pizza with your hands.

This stew was just as rich and comforting... the perfect stick to your ribs kind of meal.

Many Greek recipes ask for eggplant. I settled on Papoutsakia, or "Little Shoes", which are eggplants stuffed with ground beef and cheese, covered in béchamel sauce. What an indulgent way to enjoy vegetables.

The avocado filling is similar to making guacamole. In fact, if you wanted to, you could use your favorite guacamole recipe and use that as the filling for these avocado wontons.

This salad came immediately to mind and is the perfect foil for the tender, fresh pea shoots and sunflower greens I picked up at my local drop point today.

Plain roasted veggies need a little jazzing up once in awhile. This is not actually related to any Thai dish that I know of, but the flavors are particularly Southeast Asian.

Spatchcocking is the act of flattening your bird for quicker, more manageable cooking. This increases surface area and that helps breasts and thighs cook more evenly, while promoting browning on the skin.

A decent chocolate treat is soul satisfying, mood uplifting and can switch any miserable day to a chirpy one.
