Marvelous Mustache Cookies

December 2, 2011

Movember may be over but that's no reason to put the mustache in exile.  These cinnamon and chocolate mustache sugar cookies by alanabread are so "hair-raising" that they should be made all year long.  Mustache cookies are great to garnish other baked treats but also perfectly delicious on their own.  Alana takes you through a step-by-step tutorial on how to make these marvelous mustache cookies.

I would never make this recipe again. The dough was much too dry, even after I added the 1 tbsp. of milk. This made them next to impossible to roll out and cut. Secondly, following directions to put the cut cookies in the freezer BEFORE stamping them was a huge mistake. IT was impossible to get a good stamp because the dough was so hard, and then once it was thawed enough to stamp, the cookies stuck to the stamp and fell apart. This was a very frustrating recipe!
