Linzer cookies are a traditional sweet from Austria but are made through out Northeastern Europe. Two lightly sweetened cut-out butter cookies are sandwiched with an intensely flavored jam, usually raspberry. While these cookies take a little extra effort to make compared to your typical sugar cookie, they are well worth it.
