Ingredients
crescent roll dough (in a tube)
caramel dip (found produce section)
1 granny smith apple, chopped
1 tablespoon butter
Preparation
1
Preheat oven to the temperature mentioned on the tube of dough.
2
Open, unwrap and spread the triangles of dough onto a foil-lined baking sheet.
3
Spread 1 tablespoon of caramel dip onto each triangle (making sure to get it all the way to the tips).
4
Microwave chopped apples and tablespoon of butter 30 - 45 seconds (until butter is completely melted).
5
Make a small pile of apples in the center of each triangle.
6
Do not discard the leftover butter!
7
Sprinkle cinnamon onto each apple pile.
8
Fold each of the ends of the dough up, forming a little knot (ensuring that all of the apples are inside).
10
Put a pinch of light brown sugar on each pastry as well.
11
Follow the temperature/time instructions on the tube from the crescent rolls.
12
Remove from oven.

About
The best part about this recipe is that the possibilities are endless. It all goes according to the baking instructions of the crescent rolls. Any type of fruit or vegetable would work in this case. (I would just recommend microwaving them first -steaming the veggies in a little water- to make sure that they don't have too much of a bite). Instead of caramel, try cream cheese or cheddar cheese. :)
