When former plans to make gyoza fell through, I made my own generically-Asian-inspired dumplings. The impromptu dumpling-making session ended up being a delectable way to use up a bit of leftover tofu and wilting bundle of watercress.

This is a super easy, healthy, delicious recipe that you are sure to love! There are only 4 ingredients which make this recipe an all-star. The prep time is very quick. You can prepare these, throw them in the freezer and go enjoy your guests.

I love the idea of wrapping up all sorts of yummyness in a crunchy green leaf of lettuce (or cabbage) and you can either serve these as finger food at a party, serve as an appetizer or pack up a few for lunch.

This a super delicious bowl of peanut-y green food. And feel free to throw in whatever vegetables you like or happen to have on hand. The sauce is completely versatile.

Tarts, pies and quiches are my favourites but I hardly make them because I always thought making the crust would takes up some time. I remember the first quiche I have eaten was many many years ago when I was still working in Petaling Jaya.

I had never heard of razzcherries. They taste like what the name implies, raspberry and cherry. They are cherries with a raspberry juice infused in them. They are plump and delicious. The unique form of antioxidants from the raspberry-cherry blend packs a healthful punch.

I just have this thing with berries and cheesecake…Sorry, I know it’s not very original, but it’s just so good! This one happens to be gluten free (though I never even thought about that when I made it) and is sweetened with coconut sugar and raw honey.

My sister, Maddy, had these sandwiches pinned on Pinterest. She is an artist from Denver and one of her latest realms is jewelry making. I hosted a coffee for my friends to see and purchase her works of art. This was a good excuse for us to cook together...and these grilled cheese sandwiches were our delicious lunch one day.

I loved this meal. I forgot how comforting and delicious grits are and want to make a point to cook them more often.

This is it folks. This is where the good stuff is. Swimming it all right now, arms stretched wide, lapping up the last bits of sweetness from this bowl of lessons. I feel it coming. Newness. So, so Happy. Ready.

I've been making a lot of raw food lately. Partly because it's easier on my digestive system, but mostly because my oven has decided to heat up to 500˚F any time it's switched to BAKE. Which poses a problem when you're a baker

This is a simple recipe that can be adapted probably anyway you like. The first time I made it I didn’t have any veggies on hand, so the only “add-in” was the sausage. Get creative and throw whatever veggies/add-ins you like!

I'm not in Kansas anymore. And by Kansas I mean Canada. Guess what...I'm in Thailand! Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but it takes a while to get here! If you didn't already know this, Thailand is one of my favourite countries to visit. The food, the culture, the people, the food. It's all so good. Did I mentions how good the food is? Holy cow!

There is such a dearth of international cuisine in Pondicherry…it almost feels like all these people are missing out on such amazing food from around the globe! All this deprivation forces me to go into my kitchen and make all the food that I miss,

When I made the batter according to the instructions, it ended up a curdled mess and I thought I was in trouble but the cupcake turned out light and delicious. The icing is so rich you can only eat one a day or your cellulite will get the upper hand

When the mood hits me and I crave to create a new dish , I dig into my memory of food orders that were selected by the family and which they really liked, and I recreate the dish for them with some twists here and there so that it becomes my "own" dish.

It was initially just supposed to be parmesan and pine nut muffins but I wanted to give it a bit of flair so I turned them into cornbread muffins, swapping out the pine nuts for jalapenos, and then using up some sharp cheddar cheese that I had sitting around in the fridge. Hence, we have these jalapeno cornbread muffins.

My strawberry mango fruit flan with creamy custard filling is a great way to celebrate the warmer weather ahead. No need to tackle piecrust dough with this super easy sponge cake recipe. The orange liqueur syrup, brushed on the cake after baking, guarantees a moist interior and flavourful base for the luscious crème pâtissière.

These were the perfect accompaniment to the tender brisket. They were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. It’s my new favorite way to prepare potatoes. I’ve already made them again since, just changing up the herbs a bit.

I’d like to introduce you to my new friend. He’s rich, he’s complex, he has no problems making friends at parties. His officially name is Bacon Deviled Eggs but around here we know him as The Diet Killer. Once he makes an appearance you can kiss your well intentioned diet’s ass goodbye.
