Guinness Ice Cream

Ingredients

22 stout (beer)
1 large egg
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream

Preparation

Pour beer into a pan. Boil it down to 1 1/2 cups, and then leave on the stove on low heat. Mix the egg and sugar in a bowl. Mix in milk, then mix in the warm beer concentrate. Mix in cream. Chill mix in refrigerator for about an hour. Mix in ice cream maker.

I would love to make Guiness Stout ice cream in my Vitamix because I do not have an ice cream maker but I cannot find a recipe or directions as to how to do that on google or youtube or vitaxmix websites. Can you help?

The recipe calls for Guinness, though you can substitute any stout. 22 oz equals 1 1/2 cans of Guinness. You should drink the leftover 1/2 can while you prepare this recipe.
