This is a Indian regional dish and in India different kinds of vadas are made on festivals. my recipe is clear cut and easy to follow..maybe 4 the Indian viewers..

I looked at your recipe and have a few questions:
what is an ING? the recipes says- 1 cup ING Yellow Moong Dal
when you say 1 teaspoon /4 aniseeds- do you mean 1 tsp plus 4 aniseeds,
1 tsp = 4 aniseeds or 1/4 tsp aniseeds.
Some times when I look over the recipes I posted - the computer assumes spacings and punctuation- that I didn't mean, especially if I have copied and pasted it from my computer.
Your recipes look good, but for a novice cook-it would be hard to assume what you mean. Just saying.
