My first introduction to smoothie bowls was on the streets of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Throughout the city there are small stalls where they serve fresh juices and acai bowls. The bowls t consisted of acai berries blended with banana, milk and ice and topped with fresh fruit, granola and nuts. This very Brazilian snack didn't become popular in the United States until recently and now every juice bar and health foods store has their own version. This green smoothie bowl blends fruits and vegetables to bump up the nutrition content while also providing something unique and delicious.
Green Super Food Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:
For the bowl:
1 banana
150 ml almond milk
2 tbsp crunchy peanut butter
1 tbsp decent honey
4-5 ice cubes
1 avocado
1 handful of kale
1 tbsp matcha powder
1 lime
For the toppings:
fresh fruit
nuts (such as almonds)
granola
chopped chocolate
shredded coconut
