Study Finds Meat Consumption Correlates to Masculinity

Many men are unwelcoming to the idea of vegetarianism because of their own perceptions that eating meat and masculinity go hand in hand. A study published in the Journal of Consumer Research found that participants rated meats, and especially muscle meat, as more masculine than vegetables. They even used more masculine words to describe these foods than they did with vegetables.
