The camaraderie of the women in the help is brought together by the abundance of southern food that can be seen on the tables throughout the film.
In fact, to make sure the food in The Help was just right, the director and Jackson, Mississippi native, Tate Taylor had local chefs prepare all the food that was used in the film.
"There's a way we cook in the South; vegetables get a certain color to them," Taylor said.
The Help has received rave reviews and after its opening this weekend, has topped the box office.
