This is a really simple cocktail based on the idea of a ginger ale and whiskey style drink. Instead of ginger ale, I used cider simple syrup to create a cider soda and then added Jack Daniels. So delicious!

There is no need for fancy absinthe fountains or spoons here. You just fill an old-fashioned glass with crushed ice. Add an ounced of absinthe. Add an ounce of filtered water and watch the absinthe turn opaque.
