Yugoslavian Bean Soup

Ingredients
2 cups sm. red beans
8 cups water
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups shredded carrot
1/4 cup tiny soup noodles
1 cup finely diced celery
1 (14 ½ oz.) can tomatoes
3 pounds shank end ham
Preparation

Put all in pan, simmer, covered 2 to 2 1/2 hours until beans and ham are done. Add noodles and cook until done.
