Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ingredients
3 cups granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
7 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
12 ounces evaporated milk
1 stick butter, melted
1 cup pecan halves
2 pie shells, unbaked

Pour filling over the pecans. Bake at 350° for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the filling is set and the center is just slightly soft.

About
Less chewy and sticky than simple pecan pie, the addition of chocolate gives it a rich earthy flavor.
Great served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
