Microwave Beer Bread

Ingredients

1 cup flour
3 tablespoons sugar
12 ounces beer (can be light beer)
1 tablespoon softened butter
cornflake crumbs

Preparation

Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Spray a glass loaf pan with cooking spray or wipe with butter. Sprinkle bottom and sides with crumbs.

Pour batter into pan and top with butter and a light sprinkling of corn flake crumbs

Microwave at medium for 9 minutes, then on high for 2 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool slightly.

About

This recipe is over a decade old so the timing would be based on older, lower wattage microwaves than most people use today. Experimentation will be needed for the correct setting if you have a spanking new microwave.
