Caramelized Onions

Thinly slice onions and set aside. In a large saute pan over medium-high heat add olive oil and butter. Once pan is hot and the butter has melted, add onions and salt and stir. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. reduce heat to medium/medium low and continue to cook for another 20 minutes, stirring every so often.

Caramelized onions are delicious on sandwiches, pizza or pasta.
