Chocolate Gateau

Ingredients
cup Butter or margarine,softened
1 cup Sugar
3 Eggs
3 ounces Unsweetened chocolate,melted
1 teaspoon Instant coffee crystals
2 cups Sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
teaspoon Salt
1 cup Whipping cream
Chocolate Buttercream Filling*(recipe follows)
Chocolate Glaze (recipe follows)
Slivered almonds

Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8 inch round cake pans; bake at 350 F for 20 minutes, or until cake springs back when touched.

Make filling and glaze.

*Cake can be made 2 days in advance; refrigerate.
