Ground Pork Ragout

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 bay leaves
1 onion, chopped
2 carrots, finely diced
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup cream
2 tablespoons grated fresh parmesan

Preparation

Put olive oil in large pan and saute garlic until it starts to brown

Add ground pork and stir over high heat for 5 minutes

Add chopped onions and spices and saute over high heat for another 5 minutes or until onions become translucent

Add the carrot pieces and the bouillon cube and water and reduce heat to simmer

Simmer until carrots become tender (about 20 minutes)

Toss with fresh cooked pasta (such as penne, farfalle, rigatoni, etc.) and the grated parmesan
