Mashed Yams

Ingredients
1 can (30 oz.) yams
1/4 cup melted butter
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 can (8 oz.) apricot halves
Preparation

Drain yams. Place in mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Blend in rest of ingredients, except apricots. Place 1/2 mixture in buttered casserole, 1 quart size. Drain apricot halves. Arrange on top of potatoes. Top with remaining mixture. Garnish with walnut halves and 5-6 large marshmallows. Bake 325 degrees 30-40 minutes.
