Ingredients
1 cup Granulated sugar
cup Water
4 cups Milk
1 Vanilla bean, split and scraped
1 cup Sugar
6 lrgs Eggs
6 lrgs Egg yolks

How to Prepare the Caramel:1. In a small heavy-bottomed saucepan, mix together the sugar and water.

Bake in a water bath for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until just set and a knife inserted comes clean. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
