Hamburgers

Ingredients
2 lbs. ground beef
Lettuce leaves
Dill pickle slices
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Onion slices
Tomato slices
Preparation

Have a barbecue fire ready. Combine the beef, salt and pepper, mix gently. Shape into 8 patties about 3 1/2 inches. Grill over hot coals, turning 6 to 8 minutes; 12 minutes for well-done. Place the buns on the grill then place hamburger on the buns and serve with the garnishes above. If cheeseburgers, about 1 minute before removing from the grill, place a slice of cheese on.

I live in the south and in the south YOU DO NOT barbecue hamburgers! You GRILL them!
To barbecue meat you grill it and coat it with a sauce before taking it off the grill. Usually, chicken, pork, beef ribs.
