Simple Turkey Chili Crock-Pot Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey
1 can of kidney beans (no salt added, organic) – drained and rinsed
1 can of great Northern beans (no salt added, organic) – drained and rinsed
1/2 red pepper, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
16 oz of vegetable or chicken stock
2 TBSP tomato paste
1 can diced or crushed tomatoes (no salt added), undrained
2 teaspoons cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Preparation

Add ground turkey, onion, peppers and garlic to crock-pot set on high and cook while measuring out the spices and draining/rinsing beans.

Mix crock-pot ingredients then add in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, kidney beans, great northern beans, and vegetable or chicken stock. Give the ingredients a thorough mixing then add in the spices/seasoning: cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.

Set the temperature to low and cook for about 4 and a half hours. Feel free to set the temperature to high and cook for about half the time, if you’d like.
