Easy Black Forest Cake

Ingredients

1 package Swiss chocolate cake mix
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 package vanilla ready-to-spread frosting
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cans cherry pie filling

Preparation

Bake cake as directed on box.

Mix cream cheese and frosting together. Add lemon juice. Beat until creamy.

If making a round cake, use 1/3 of filling and one can cherry pie filling between layers and the rest of the filling use to frost cake.

Pour remaining can of cherries over top of cake. Keep refrigerated. If baking in an oblong pan, use only 1 can of cherries.
