Beef Ale/Stout Stew

Ingredients

1 pound Lean Chuck, Rib, Brisket, or Plate Beef For Stewing
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 large sliced in half
1 12 Ox. bottle Guinness Extra Stout beer
1 4 Inch Stem Fresh Rosemary
2 tablespoons cornstarch

Preparation

Combine all ingredients except the cornstarch and water in a crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Combine the cornstarch and required amount of water based on package instructions and stir into the stew

Cover the crockpot and allow the stew to cook an additional 10 minutes, until thickened slightly.
