About

This is a medicinal wine in the tradition of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). Often, these wines need to sit for much longer (up to 6 mths) if they contain more hearty medicinals. If you are experiencing a more complex or chronic illness you will need to consult a TCM practitioner in order to formulate a more appropriate (and safe) wine decoction. Ginger wine is good in cases of an early cold or flu (first few days) or when experiencing stomach upset. This is not something to be taken every day though it is a safe and natural way to treat acute early stage illness. See the spice doc dot com for more information on how to make other medicinal wines.
