Cherry Drop Cookies

Ingredients
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup chopped dates
cup finely chopped maraschino cherries
Preparation

Beat together butter, sugar, and eggs; stir in milk and vanilla. Add flour, salt, and baking powder. Fold in nuts, dates, and cherries. Shape in balls. Roll in 2 2/3 cup corn flakes crushed to 1 1/3 cups. Top each cookie with cherry quarter. Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
