When a recipe asks you to add a can of this or that, most of the time you drain the excess liquid from the can. The can not yet drained of liquid is called AP The can drained of water or liquid is called EP It makes a difference in most recipes
The Weight of the item As Purchased (AP), before any trimming is done. Also known as APQ (As Purchased Quantity).
