Question: Not a dry champagne?

July 1, 2010
I am looking for a 'non dry champagne'- not too sweet either. My favorite wine is a Zinfandel or Riesling, that is how sweet I would like a Champagne. NOT expensive.

Look for Sparkling Wine- not necessarily champagne- The bubbles make it festive!
There are several sparkling reds that are FABULOUS!
You might want to try a Moscato- it's a sweet sparkling wine- light, fresh and is a great hot day summer appertif wine. Prossecco is wonderful too.
A few others;
Pacific Rim- Sparkling Riesling- Washington State (about $15)
Graham Beck- Sparkling rose -South Africa (about $15)
Marenco-Pineto Brachetto- Sweet Sparking Black Muscat- (about $24)

Rosés have come a long way! Don't be afraid!
Try Veuve du Verné rosé - its $15-16 and it a bright beautiful pink with fruity, berry flavours!
