Bratwurst is usually served grilled or boiled in a broth or beer.
It can be served fried or in a casserole. It can be sliced and sauteed. Apples, mustard, and sweet and sour cabbage are great compliments for Bratwurst.
Boil in beer to grill method is one great way to do it. I also like to simmer them together with beer, saurkraut and porkchops until chops are ready to eat. Delicious
I simmer my Brats in a pot with good dark beer, onions and a garlic clove until heated, then grill them low and slow so they get good and crispy on the outside. Serve them on good crusty rolls with sauteed onions and whole grain mustard

Add sliced green peppers in with the onions!
