Firstly use any fruit which is in season as this cuts down on cost. I usually use bananas, yellow peaches and pineapple. Bake a plain vanilla sponge cake. Cut cake into cubes. Mix a couple of packs of Jello different flavours and make a nice thick custard. Layer fruit, cake, jello and custard into a bowl, decorate with a sprinkle of roasted coconut.
