As everyone has their own favourite way of making sticky ribs, here is my answer: Make a marinade of tomato sauce (thick sauce like Heinz will work), add some peach chutney or apricot jam and worchestershire sauce. Mix in half a cup of brown / caramel sugar and add a little bit salt and garlic. The rack of ribs can be marinated in this sauce overnight and then when doing the bbq it can be used as a basting sauce. This gives a lovely flavour and a nice sticky-ness to the ribs.
