Living in Southern California you get a pretty wide variety of cuisines and ingredients to try. Most food I make is a mixture of different cultures, primarily Mexican, Italian, Asian, and Californian (Avocados are a must). I am also a huge fan of both classic and contemporary Fench cuisine, gotta love French Onion Soup and a perfectly roasted Chicken.
Growing up near the coast provides a lot of fresh seafood options, and close access to the orchards of the central valley provides fresh fruits and veggies. My favorite thing to prepare: Chevice, check out the "California Ceviche" recipe.
