Corn nuts are small seasoned nuts that you eat as a snack. To make corn nuts, whole corn kernels are soaked in water for three days, then deep-fried in oil until they are hard and brittle. Invented in 1936, corn nuts were originally given away at taverns as a snack that went well with beer.
