You may equate a rosé from Provence with summertime, outdoors, and the ocean (and you wouldn't be wrong to do so) but a dry rosé from Southern France is an extremely versatile food wine as well. An Easter ham is the perfect match for a pink wine. Not only does it look pretty on the table and evoke springtime joy, but hopefully it will inspire you to enjoy these delightful wines with greater frequency.
One of my favorites, pictured below, is the Commanderie de Peyrassol. At a recent industry tasting I sampled the 2011 vintage, and it's as lovely as ever. A bit of a mouthful to say, but you'll be too busy drinking it to worry about how to pronounce it.
Rosé is also great with lamb and salmon; Foodista has you covered with Easter recipe ideas.
