Pineapple-Glazed Ham

Ingredients

1 smoked ham - (abt 10 lbs)
3 tablespoons whole cloves
1 can crushed pineapple - (20 oz) undrained
cup dark brown sugar - (firmly packed)
1 cup bourbon
teaspoon salt

Preparation

Remove skin and excess fat from ham. Score ham in a diamond design, and insert cloves at 1-inch intervals. Place ham in an aluminum foil-lined roasting pan.

Stir together pineapple and next 4 ingredients; pour over ham. Cover and chill 8 hours.

Bake ham at 350 degrees for 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.

This recipe yields about 25 (3 1/2-ounce) servings.

Comments: To lower sodium, purchase a reduced-sodium ham and omit salt.
