Easy Angelfood Cake

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups egg whites (room temperature)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Sift together flour and powdered sugar

Combine egg whites, cream of tartar, salt until stiff peaks form

Fold in sugar and flavoring

Fold in the sifted flour and powdered sugar

Pour into a 10 inch tube pan

Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes

Invert hot cake and let hang in the pan for 1 hour to cool
