If you live in New York City and have ever wondered whether a restaurant you're planning to visit is up to snuff, you have a new ally in DontEat.at. This simple service detects when users check in on Foursquare to places with current health code violations and sends them a heads-up via text message.
DontEat.at was created by Max Stoller and was given an Honorable Mention nod at NYC's Big Apps competition, according to Social Times. Stoller plans to create versions of DontEat.at for other cities soon.
