Across the nation, people from all walks of life are celebrating the long awaited ruling by the Supreme Court allowing same sex marriage. We at Foodista, thought it was fitting to celebrate in our own particular way by sharing bright, beautiful rainbow cakes of all sorts.
We don't often get political, and I(Amy) have often said that I am not interested in debate unless it's about food, but this ruling has moved me in a powerful way. I have family who is affected by this, and they are the most supportive and loving people in my life, and have been since I was a child. Outwardly, they will remain the same and as they have taught me, what matters most is to be kind to one another, but I now no longer will fear that if something happens to one of them, the other will be shut out.
No matter who you are, you have the right to love and be loved without judgment. Now it has been written into the laws of our entire nation, and I want to celebrate with cake!!!!
