Super Bowl XLIX Inspired Party Mix Recipes

Whether you are rooting for the New England Patriots or the Seattle Seahawks, one thing is for certain, an assortment of game day foods to enjoy during the Super Bowl is essential.  Party mixes are a quick and easy snack you can literally throw together in minutes.  The Patriots inspired mix includes red and blue candy coated chocolate candies, dried fruits, honey nut corn cereal and a generous drizzle of white chocolate while the Seahawks mix has chunks of granola, dried apples and chocolate peanut butter pieces.  These crowd pleasing party mix recipes will be a guaranteed hit on Super Bowl Sunday.

Seattle Grunge Chex Mix

Ingredients:

1 pouch (2 bars) Nature Valley™ oats 'n honey crunchy granola bars (from 8.9-oz box)
1 bag (8 oz) Chex Mix® Chocolate peanut butter snack mix
1/2 cup dried apple slices, cut into bite-size pieces
1/4 cup roasted sunflower nuts
1/4 cup dried blueberries

Directions:

Step 1: Break granola bars into bite-size pieces. In medium bowl, mix all ingredients.

Patriotic Chex Mix

Ingredients:

1 bag (8.75 oz) Chex Mix® Honey Nut snack mix
1/4 cup dried blueberries
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup roasted sunflower seeds
2 cups white chocolate chips
1/2 cup blue and red candy-coated chocolate candies

Directions:

Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the snack mix, blueberries, cranberries, and sunflower seeds.

Step 2: Place the white chocolate chips into a medium, microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave on High for 60-90 seconds then stir. Melt for an additional 30-60 seconds, if needed.

Step 3: Drizzle the melted chocolate over the snack mix, and stir until well coated. Turn the mix out onto a large piece of wax paper, sprinkle with blue and red candies, then allow the white chocolate to stand at room temperature for about 1 hour to harden. To serve, break the mix up into large chunks.
