Ingredients:

4 ounces  cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup walnuts
2 to 3 sprigs of fresh thyme
kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 ounces crumbled blue cheese, chilled
multigrain crackers or crostini, for serving

Directions:

Step 1: Heat a saute pan over medium-low heat.   Add the walnuts and toast them until fragrant, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat immediately so they do not burn.  Once cooled, chop the nuts into bite sized pieces.

Step 2: In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with the chopped and thyme leaves.  Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Fold in the blue cheese into the cream cheese mixture taking care not to break up the crumbles.

Step 4: Transfer the spread into a serving dish and include multigrain crackers and crostini.
