Cut your pie pumpkin in half and remove stem
Scoop out seeds
Place the two cleaned halves cut side down on a baking pan
Bake at 350 degrees until skin pierces easily with a fork
Allow pumpkin to cool enough to safely handle
Scoop out soft flesh and place in a mixing bowl.
Blend on low until pumpkin is smooth and creamy
Freeze in your favorite freezer containers until needed.
