In case you weren't aware, today is Nougat Day. Yes, that chewy stuff that's normally found inside candy bars has it's own day.
However! did you know that nougat itself is actually a full-fledged dessert? And it's relatively easy to make?
Well now you can try it out for yourself using the recipe linked below.
Ingredients:
- Nonstick vegetable oil spray
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 large egg white, room temperature
- pinch kosher salt
- 1 cup toasted nuts (I used whole almonds)
- 3/4 cup dried fruit (I used dried cherries)
