Salted caramel corn just got a kiss of smoky whiskey and the tender heat of sriracha sauce, in this amazing vegan popcorn recipe from Olives for Dinner. Cashew cream and jewels of crunchy peanuts add an irresistibly nutty component.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup raw cashews, soaked in water overnight
1/4 cup water
1 TB scotch whisky
1 TB sriracha
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup Earth Balance
2/3 cup brown sugar
16 cups fresh-popped unsalted and unflavored popcorn
1/3 cup peanuts
