Today is National Tequila Day and to celebrate we're sharing a recipe for the ultimate Tequila Sunrise. What makes it the ultimate? We think the key is a good quality tequila, of course! This recipe comes from Step By Step Cocktails: The Perfect Guide to Cocktail Making.
Tequila Sunrise
Makes 1 cocktail
3 oz. silver tequila
Orange juice
1½ oz. grenadine
Orange slice and maraschino cherry for garnish
Put 4–6 cracked ice cubes into a chilled highball glass. Pour the tequila over the ice.
Fill up with orange juice. Stir well to mix. Slowly pour the grenadine over the orange juice mixture.
Garnish with the orange slice and maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.
