People seem to enjoy taking great things and making them greater. The Domestic Rebel was no exception when she created Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Caramel-Filled Cookies. She took soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies and filled them with with gooey caramel. This recipe might give your sweet tooth a run for its money, and possibly send your kids on a sugar rush like no other, but let's face it -- you just can't resist something that looks this good.
Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Caramel-Filled Cookies
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 12 Ghiradelli Caramel squares
