Nestle Recalls Chocolate Nesquik for Salmonella Contamination

November 12, 2012

On Thursday, Nestle recalled Nesquik chocolate powder for possible salmonella contamination.  The company has asked consumers to return any 10.9, 21.8 and 40.7 ounce canisters purchased in October.  According to the FDA, the recall was issued because Omya Inc, a supplier of calcium carbonate (an ingredient in the powder), found the presence of Salmonella in their product. If you have purchased Nesquik chocolate powder, return it to the original store of purchase for a full refund  or call Nestle Consumer Services at (800) 628-7679.
