Katy Perry just spent $50,000 on cooking lessons, but before you chide her for her spendy ways, know that the money went to a great cause. Perry was one of the celebrity attendees at Elton John's AIDS Foundation Oscars® viewing party Sunday night and participated in an auction for cooking lessons with "Iron Chef America" star Cat Cora.
The winning bid ended up being $100,000, and Katy Perry and film producer Steve Tisch decided to share the prize. All proceeds from the event went to the AIDS Foundation.
