For all you Star Wars fans out there, here is a way to pay tribute to your favorite movie series in a larger-than-life way. This is a life-sized edible Stormtrooper that stands at 6'4" tall and weighs more than 300 pounds.
This cake was designed and created for the Arisia Science Fiction Convention in Boston by Oak Leaf Cakes, who say they had to think of an entirely new way of baking for this edible statue. The folks at Oak Leaf Cakes also blogged about their progress while making the Stormtrooper cake, adding photographs and information about the cake's structure.

Just wanted to clarify that no molds were used to make this cake. It was all hand-carved from the ground up!
