At our place, we eat cheesecake for Thanksgiving. Not any fancy, flavored variety, ours is New York Style, heavy as a brick, simple cheesecake. I am not sure it would be a holiday dinner without it.
As a cheesecake purist, I really prefer NY style and plain. If you are going to get all fancy, pour it over, do not blend it in. This may come from my serious addiction to cheese. I am not a fan of weird mix-ins messing up my vanilla ice cream either, so decipher what you want from that.
