My Favorite Pecan Pie

November 8, 2011

My dad loves pecan pie and it's his only request on Thanksgiving.  Last year, I decided to change things up and made this bourbon chocolate pecan pie instead.  Let me tell you- it was a crowd pleaser.  The bourbon is just a background note that helps the other flavors shine.  If you are worried about adding alcohol to this dessert, you can substitute with vanilla extract.  Make sure to serve this delicious bourbon chocolate pecan pie with lots of freshly whipped cream.
