The latest season of Food Network Star has come to an end and a new Star has been crowned! Jeff Mauro, AKA the Sandwich King, beat out 14 other competitors for the title of "Food Network Star!"
While Mauro's biggest competitor, Suzie Jimenez, game him a run for his money, it was Mauro's sandwich show idea that came out on top.
Aside from chef and TV personality, Mauro is also a stand-up comedian. His jokes, however, were sometimes criticized during the competition for coming off too much like a salesman. But with his knack for entertaining, Mauro is sure to rise to the occasion and truly be the Food Network's next big star.

I wish him luck with his new show. Sandwiches are important to a quick healthy meal so I am looking forward to the show. I just hope his comedy is kept to a minimum and he does more actual cooking.

I really hope they let him keep his style and it showcases his wonderful sense of humor. Some of the shows are too mundane and boring so his comedy would lend a fun aspect to the show. Glad he won and looking forward to watching him.
